“ LWB was a fabulous host for our group event. We had a group of 10 for dinner. Service was great and the pizzas were quick to the table and fantastic. Long wine list. Watch the cooks hand toss the dough for the pizzas. Pizzas are cooked in a brick oven for that delicious, bubbly char. ”
“ My fiance and I visited this establishment over the weekend. Reservations are definitely needed for this place, which we didn’t have. However, they were able to accommodate us at the bar. We had a great time. The pizza was delicious. They craft it in an oven that was flown in from Italy. The wine selections were just as smooth and satisfying as the music. So much so, we purchased 2 bottles to take home. Lincoln Wine bar definitely knows how to curate a nice “date night” vibe. I highly recommend. ”
“ we walked into the restaurant, immediately we were hooked. The large Italian tile,wood fired, pizza oven was center stage. The staff was so great. Very warm, unassuming, and open to us “newbies”. Jessie,the owner, was at the bar and heard my comment on a wine. He immediately became our friend, and we had a fantastic time talking wine etc. They have a fantastic wine list. Very comprehensive, and extremely affordable. For beer people they had great options. Think IPA’s, Duval, ciders, and Miller High Life . The food! Wow. Morel mushroom pizza, a Salami pizza with whole kalamati olives, and goat cheese. And then the fresh asparagus salad roasted and with dill aioli. Spectacular! Can’t wait to go back!! 5-5-5 ”
“ Absolutely amazing!! This will seem like a fake review lol. One of the best pizzas I've had!! Great atmosphere, welcomed without a reservation, but they asked if we had one, so best to make one! Had a semi sweet cherry cider to accompany the 2 pizza specials that were cooked to perfection, great combination, quantity, and quality of ingredients. Definitely recommend!!! Had to edit the review. super clean bathrooms with quality soap that smells great!! ”
“ The pizzas here are stellar. The crust is crisp and thin and unlike most pizzas out there, the cheese is actually used in moderation and it allows for the taste of the toppings to shine through. It is nice to have pizza with fresh herbs and tasty topping options instead of the usual various types of meat. The menu is small but all the 4 pizzas 2 apps (meatballs bread sticks) I tried were excellent. I would say these were among the best, if not the best, pizzas I've had in Iowa. Highly recommend. ”
“ Fantastic! The Lincoln Wine Bar’s motto “Food is important” is evident even if you couldn’t translate the words on the imported Italian pizza oven. From the attentive and knowledgeable staff to the incredibly delicious Caesar salad, wood fired pizzas and wonderful wine selection - this gem offers a great vibe. So glad a visit back to Iowa from DC brought me here for a delightful evening with girlfriends! Telling all my Family and friends in the area not to miss this and looking forward to returning on future visits. ”
“ This place is 100% worth the short drive from CR. The wine selection is well curated and the pizza is probably the best Neopolitan style I've ever had, not wet and soggy like most but still thin and just floppy enough. Though they offer any classic pizza you could want, they also aren't slavish purists either, which was refreshing. The salmon pizza and the artichoke pizza were both absolutely delicious and very unique without being weird, and the margherita was perfectly executed. The atmosphere was also wonderful, it's comfortable and unpretentious but still very nice. ”
“ We have been coming here long before the New York Times featured the restaurant as one of the best pizza places in the US, and it consistently delivers! Amazing wood fired pizzas! Love this place and make a point of going here at least once or twice every time we visit the area. The dough is fantastic and the topping combinations are unique and delicious! Love the green one with arugula and pistachio pesto, and the Brie and Gorgonzola with green olives, and we always try the specials. Caesar salad is also a sure fire winner! And the meatballs! Yum! Great wine list too. Just got back to Seattle and I’m already missing it. See you next year! (p.s. Any leftover pizza you take home is best warmed on a hot skillet or in the oven on a baking steel.... We always over-order so we can try more pies and have some to take home!) ”
